Introductory Course
We operate introductory courses for new archers on an as needed basis .
The course consists of 2 x 3hour sessions during the outdoor season.
If the demand exists we can run a course indoors..
The current charge is £30.00 for the two sessions which includes the cost of all equipment used. If the participant wishes to continue in the sport and join the club at the end of the course, then the annual subscription is £76.00.A breakdown of what this money covers is shown on the right hand side of this page.
Free use of the training equipment is available until personal equipment is purchased.

Shooting
The outdoor range is open all the year.
Distances are marked in both yards and metres. As a member of Red Kite Archers, facilities exist for the competitive and recreational archer. It is possible to go the top of the sport or stay in the club. As a member of GNAS an archer can attend tournaments all over the UK. or stop and shoot in the club and still attain Bowman classification.
Outdoor (summer):
We meet on Sunday mornings, shooting starts at 10.00hrs.
Wednesday evenings 6.30ish.
Indoor (winter):
Sunday mornings 10.00 to 12.00pm for indoor shooting
Equipment
Please do not beg, borrow steal or buy any equipment.
Arrow length, bow length and draw weight have to be determined and are vital if you wish to shoot well and above all enjoy the sport.
We will give advice and point you in the right direction. Remember archery shops need to sell to exist! Archery manufacturers need to keep producing new equipment.
